Chemical Peels
From gentle to medical-grade, SkinCare Aesthetics’ chemical peels can help address your skin concerns including aging, acne and hyperpigmentation. Our philosophy is to tailor treatments to each patient’s needs and to increase concentrations gradually to the maximum tolerated by the individual’s skin. As a result, our peels are suitable to all skin types.
How Chemical Peels work
Chemical peel treatments involve applying acids which exfoliate and accelerate the removal of dead skin cells. These peels have been shown to prevent collagen breakdown and stimulate natural skin renewal. Unlike very deep peels, the depth of penetration of SkinCare Aethetics’ treatments is limited to the epidermis or superficial dermis, eliminating the crusting or peeling that may occur with deeper peels.

SkinCare Aesthetics Chemical Peel Program
Alpha Hydroxy Acid or Glycolic Peel
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) are natural derived compounds. The most common form of AHA in aesthetics from sugar cane (glycolic acid) and from sour milk (lactic acid). They may slow the skin’s aging process.
Beta Hydroxy Acid or Salicylic Peel
Naturally derived from the bark of the willow tree, salicylic acid is formulated with patented microsponge technology which enables the acid to reach the smallest crevice on the skin’s surface.
Deeper Peel Treatments
To achieve healthier, younger-looking skin, our aestheticians in Boston offer clinically-tested, radiance-enhancing, deep peels from SkinMedica, including Vitalize. These comfortable, non-invasive peels target the damaged outer layer of the skin, reducing visible signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. The peels enhance skin color and clarity, tighten and improve texture for smoother, softer skin, and minimize the appearance of imperfections including dark spots, acne-prone areas and premature aging from sun exposure. Optimal results are achieved with a series of 3 to 6 treatments.
