All of our dermatologists are members of the New England Dermatological Society (NEDerm), and we are proud that so many SkinCare Physicians’ dermatologists have served as leaders in this organization. NEDerm is a not-for-profit educational organization whose members are physicians and scientists with a special interest in diseases of the skin.
NEDerm provides financial support to academic dermatology training programs to host clinical and didactic meetings. With their academic affiliates, NEDerm hosts 3 clinical meetings and one annual didactic meeting annually. These meetings attract over 800 attendees each year. Visiting lecturers are also invited to deliver state-of-the art presentations in their fields of expertise.

SkinCare Physicians’ Dr. Jeffrey Dover discusses underarm deodorants and antiperspirants in this month’s Men’s Health magazine: “Men who sweat minimally and have a mild odor can get away without deodorant, while other guys need it several times a day. […] The best time to polish your pits: the morning after a shower. Washing with soap will decrease the bacteria on the underarm, and therefore the odor as well. But make sure you’ve completely toweled off, because deodorant sticks best and is more effective if applied directly to dry skin."
