ASLMS Kenneth A. Arndt, MD Lifetime Mentorship Award

Dr. Arndt with his Kenneth A. Arndt, MD Lifetime Mentorship Award from ASLMS SkinCare Physicians is thrilled to share that the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS) launched the Kenneth A. Arndt, MD Lifetime Mentorship Award. This honor is a tribute to Dr. Arndt‘s extraordinary and lasting dedication to mentoring so many medical students, residents, fellows and dermatologists, including many of our very own.

Dr. Arndt’s legacy is as illustrious as it is extensive. He was one of the founding members of ASLMS in January 1981, when there were only two lasers available for clinical use! Dr. Arndt served as the Society’s president from 1986-1987 and received the title of ASLMS honorary member in 2021. In ASLMS’s own words, Dr. Arndt’s “contributions to the fields of dermatology and research have made a lasting impact on how ASLMS members practice medicine. Scores of fellows and medical students have trained under his leadership leading ASLMS to name an honorary award […]” after him.

This award is a testament to the profound respect and admiration Dr. Arndt commands among his peers and mentees.

Dr. Arndt’s own journey as an amazing mentor comes full circle with this award: he is the very first recipient of the ASLMS Kenneth A. Arndt, MD Lifetime Mentorship Award.
