Dr. Rohrer on the promising nano-pulse stimulation for skin lesions
Dr. Thomas Rohrer was recently interviewed by DermatologyTimes on the promising nano-pulse stimulation (NPS) application to treat skin lesions, benign ones and possibly malignancies. According to him, “Nano-Pulse Stimulation […] is an exciting new technology that has demonstrated efficacy for clearing various benign cutaneous lesions and holds great interest for its potential application to treat malignancies.” As a dermatologic surgeon specializing in skin cancer and aesthetic dermatology, Dr. Rohrer has a major interest in “the potential for NPS to treat melanoma and stimulate an immune response that can target metastases […]”. Dr. Kaminer on what works in cellulite treatments for MedEsthetics
In its January-February issue, MedEsthetics published an informative article on cellulite treatments featuring our own Dr. Michael Kaminer along with other board-certified dermatologists. The article explains in details current cellulite treatments that work to smooth dimples, such as Cellfina, and how Dr. Kaminer improves results by combining Cellfina with other cosmetic procedures. MedEsthetics also discusses two promising cellulite treatments that are under investigation, one of them at SkinCare Research.
Dr. Dover on vertical lip line treatments for Dermatology Times
In the January 2020 issue of Dermatology Times, SkinCare Physicians’ Dr. Jeffrey Dover weighs in on the various options dermatologists have to treat the challenging vertical lip lines. He discusses a new approach, which he helped develop with colleagues, that uses laser-assisted drug delivery on upper lip lines. The procedure, nicknamed OMAR for “optimized mechanical ablative rejuvenation,” is one of Dr. Dover’s favorite options for the treatment of vertical lip lines. Dr. Kenneth Arndt explains microneedling for Harvard Women’s Health Watch
Dr. Kenneth Arndt was recently interviewed by Harvard Health for an article on Microneedling. The article entitled Needling your way to healthier skin appears in the April 2019 issue of Harvard Women’s Health Watch. Dr. Arndt, who viewed microneedling with skepticism until recently, now believes that it can be an effective procedure for “fine lines and wrinkles, in particular perioral wrinkles, which are vertical lines that form around the mouth […] The healing response triggered by the treatment can also improve scarring, including acne scars, and help reverse skin damage from the sun.” Dr. Arndt further how microneedling works, and weighs the pros and cons of the procedure.
